SONOCONTROL 15 – The ultrasonic level switch is designed to detect with speed and precision whether or not a pipe is filled with liquid or liquefied gas. As soon as the pipe’s detection point is filled, the sensor ensures safe switching.

The compact non-invasive sensor measures through the pipe wall and is particularly suited to applications within the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. For example to protect pumps and monitor filling machines.

Within the pharmaceutical industry, the SONOCONTROL 15 by Sonotec serves as a limit switch that detects whether a pipe with a small nominal diameter is full or empty.

The switch is simply placed (sideways) on the outside of the tube or pipe without interrupting the flow process. This prevents leakage problems. After a successful ‘teach-in’, the sensor distinguishes liquid and gas / air. The detection point must be set up on the vertical pipe to ensure that the switch function works properly at a half full pipe.

The two-wired system’s simplified installation method ensures optimal use. Thanks to the plastic mounting system, the sensor can be slid back and forth quickly and easily.
