How often to calibrate?
The right calibration interval depends on the application, frequency of use and the instrument itself. In many cases, one year is standard. For critical measurements we recommend shorter intervals (for example, 90 days). After a few calibration cycles, trends in deviation become clear and intervals can be adjusted accordingly.

Every calibration is documented in a detailed report with all measurement results. This ensures audit readiness and provides traceable proof for customers, auditors and – when necessary – legal proceedings.
Calibration, Adjustment, Testing or Verification?
These terms are often used interchangeably but have different meanings:
- Calibration – Determining the deviation against a reference.
- Adjustment – Actively correcting the deviation (fine-tuning).
- Testing – Checking against defined specifications (pass/fail).
- Verification – Official approval against a legal standard (Metrology Act).
