SIMPLE. VERSATILE. HANDS FREE.

The Cygnus 2+ is specifically designed for hands-free use. With three measuring modes, the instrument measures the wall thickness of a wide range of materials, including plastics and metals at any level of corrosion and pitting

The Cygnus 2+ features two displays: a small LCD screen at the end of the instrument for reading measurements during use, and a larger colour display on the front for navigating settings. This keeps both hands free, even when working at height or in hard-to-reach environments.

  • Multiple-Echo mode for accurate through-coating measurements, meeting the requirements of classification societies
  • Echo-Echo and Single-Echo modes for heavily corroded metals with little or no coating
  • Wearable on wrist, hip belt or harness
  • Deep Coat function ignores coatings up to 20 mm thick
  • MSI (Measurement Stability Indicator) confirms stable, reliable readings
  • Intuitive menu, straightforward to operate
  • Robust housing: shock and impact resistant (US MIL STD 810G)
  • Splash-proof and dust-tight (IP67, US MIL STD 810G)
  • Compatible with both single and dual element probes
  • Upgradeable to the 4+ or 6+ variant

Ideal for:

  • Rope access
  • Ship inspection and hull surveys
  • Civil engineering and structural inspection
  • Marine structures
  • Heavily corroded metals with front and back wall pitting
  • Irregularly shaped objects
  • Signal-attenuating materials
